  • “Ok, very rarely does one walk into a new restaurant and feel inspired to open up an app and throw flowers.... Take this as one of those few moments. I'd love to do pictures of amazing dishes.... but they were all eaten!!!”

  • “This charming little restaurant had been recommended by the receptionist at the Grand Hotel des Terreaux. We received a very warm welcome and were shown to our table upstairs. There was a buzzy atmosphere with a number of large tables with local people celebrating a birthday. The restaurant was founded in 1947 by aunt Paulette. There is a small menu of rustic Lyonnaise fayre. I started with a Lyonnaise salad. Large portion, tasty lardons, perfect poached egg. Then I tried the andioullette of calf head with dauphinois potato. Lovely sauce with it. Absolutely delicious . Then St Marcelin cheese to finish. All washed down with bottle of Morgon . Staff were lovely. Would love to go back.”

  • “Warm welcome, thoughtful and personal service, a charming and unique space, and perfect Lyonnaise food. I had the menu with an entree, a plat and dessert. Salade lyonnaise of course, chicken with the most exquisite dauphinois potato gratin, and a tarte tatin. The white burgundy (for 6.5 euro) was sensational. I would/will definitely return.”

  • “Wonderful experience: I am from the region and wanted to show topical Lyonnaise food to my girlfriend (not french) and the food was exactly the taste of my childhood mother food... It was fresh, tasty, well match with the wine and superb quality/price ratio. The service by Eric was warm and careful... I really recommend !”

  • “We so enjoyed this Bouchon! We sat upstairs and had a lovely Lyonnaise cuisine - quenelles were delicious as well as my husbands chicken dish. Atmosphere had a lot of buzz and we also enjoyed the old French classics playing in the background. Service was spot on - just wish I could remember his name as he was very personable with and very helpful in our selections. “
